We are pleased to say that we can now offer online services again. If you were registered for our old system, we will be contacting you with to collect your new registration details, but if your email or mobile telephone numbers have changed you do need to tell us. Please bring photo ID when collecting your new registration details.
If you weren't registered before but would like to be, please inform reception.
Patients on long-term treatment may be allowed prescriptions without seeing the doctor. Requests can be made by using the computer slip attached to the original prescription.
We can post your prescription if a stamped addressed envelope is enclosed with the request. If posting your request to us, please mark the envelope “Repeat Prescription”. If your request is urgent please make this clear.
Alternatively you can order online via the link at the top of this page. First-time users are required to complete a simple registration.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 15 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
